The conversion creates great atmosphere, particularly with those sea-washed boulders. And it looks as if taken by moonlight.

Nice conversion with good tones & contrasts.I like the composition with the big boulders in the fg,pretty light.I agree with Allie,it does have a Moonlit glow to it.

I really like the foreground bolders Tony - they work a treat in B&W. For me the top half of the image isn't quite as strong.

Yes, this is a very good conversion Tony, and an excellent choice of subject for it. B&W adds to the drama of the shot, I particularly like the light on the fg. rocks and the sky.

Not 100% sure about the clouds but the f.g. is very well suited to B&W and full of interesting texture.

Hi Paul, I just desaturated it, and played around with curves and contrast, plus, burn tool on some highlights, (in PS7)

Nobody would suspect that this is your first attempt at b/w, Tony. It has the class of all your other shots, with mood and atmosphere, the b/w allows the sea to blend nicely into the sky, the light and texture on the rocks is lovely,as are the dark fluffy clouds.
Having been away for 3 weeks, I have had the pleasure of viewing all your recent uploads in one go, and what an excellent array of images you provide for our enjoyment !!

Great start Tony, the light and shadows on the foreground boulders make this a good vehicle for monochrome, of course, the fact it is a great composition helps too!
