Welcome to my portfolio. I hope you find the images interesting.
Since I am unable to travel any appreciable distance, my choice of subject matter is limited to the locality in which I live.

  • Smoking a pipe

Wonderful work - congratulations! Centre of interest nicely placed. Background fitting for the image and matching tone. Sharp where it matters and lighting just right for the face. Well done.

  • The Rose

Thank you, All, for your supportive comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed viewing the image. Congratulations on your portfolios.
I take your point, Elizabeth, re the border (not "pickie" at all). You have some very nice flower images in your portfolio.

  • Skylark

A very nice image. Good exposure and sharpness with bird nicely placed (nice balance with the larger rock on the left). Suggest the addition of a thin frame - this would help to define the upper section of the image which, at the moment, tends to disappear into the surrounding area. Minor point but I think it would finish the image off nicely.
Good work and I certainly like your portfolio, the robin image is beautiful.

  • Australian Possum

Thank you, Lynne, your comment appreciated. The possum was about yesterday too, most unusual.

  • two in one

A nicely captured image. Good colour and centre of interest appears to be reasonably sharp. Lighting rather flat. Suggest crop the top third of the image and also a large portion off the right hand side - this will centre interest on the insect and flower.
    Keep up the good work!

  • Red Blossom

Thank you, Joline and Sylvia, for your response and supportive comment. I will certainly endeavour to ascertain the name of the blossom.
I have viewed your portfolios - good work! I like your "Two Old Friends", Joline, nicely framed too.
Your "Tulip on Canvas", Sylvia, is great amd I particularly like your "Wind Blown Poppies" (pity the bee is flying out of the frame - have you considered turning it round, I wonder?).
