  • Harvest Mouse Acrobatics on Teasel by Richard_137

    Quote:Almost...excellent!
But certainly very, very good 😀
It requires light setting preparations framing and working with a live mouse (ain't easy). For me it displays the photographic skill of the person behind the camera and it has the quality to be chosen picture of the week, if not the picture of the year!

Thank you so much for your kind comments, I concur, the Photographer is at the mercy of the Harvest Mouse and boy do they play up.

  • The Gainsborough. by Richard_137

Quote:you've asked this image to be critiqued.
To be honest i find little to remark upon, except may be for the lack of showing the hands which I assume would be placed in her lap.
it is my impression that the model does not seem fully relaxed.
on the other hand I would say that the dress and makeup and also her facial structure would fit in a timeframe (late 1800's??) you have captured. I do wonder whether the overall space around the model is a bit generous, as she seems a bit lost in it.
But as a whole it is a good period portrait and you can see that a lot of effort was put into both the set up, lighting and the make up and dress of the model to create a wonderful portrait.

Thank you for the CC Robert, When the Moodboard was being created, we landed on the Artist Thomas Gainsborough as our Inspiration.
