EmotionI like the colours, the man in the image is great to capture. I like the image throughout, however there is one problem here. I feel as if I'm seeing double when it comes to the mans hat. There is a shadow just to the felt of his hat and this needs to be taken away. That is the only thing with this image for me.

Life's A Beach

Life's A BeachHi
The beach is a great place to capture some good images. There is a couple of things that I would change with this image if I were composing it.
Firstly the horizon is at a slight angle so keep an eye on that and try to keep it horizontal, I think its a good basis for a good image.
There is some rocks at the left of the image, however you have cut some of these rocks off the side of the image.
There is also a lady with a white body warmer on, she is walking in the direction of the rocks (which I'm sure look good closer in to the beach). I woul dhave this lady placed at the bottom right of the image to help the composition. It would also get rid of the large portion of sand that occupies the bottom of the image.
So by moving the image to the left a little, I think you would have a much better composition. This would show that the lady is walking towards and would make the viewer think about what she may do next.
Making the viewer think about the image is catching there interest.

I hope this helps you in future.

Cal Crutchlow

Cal CrutchlowI like this image a lot. you have got the feel for the speed of the bike when it comes to panning, as this is hard to get the knack of.
The image is sharp and bright and the feeling of speed shows well.

Theres really not much wrong with this image at all, its of a good standard. If anything I would have left a little space of track in from of Carl just to show the direction of travel, thats about it.

A nice walk

A nice walkFirstly I think that you have picked the right place to capture some interesting images. Sourounder by history by the looks of it, so good choice.
You have not supplied any information regarding the setting you have used for capturing this image so its hard to tell what you may have done diffrently to improve on it.
I would first consider the white balance setting you have used to capture the original shot. Picking the correct temperature setting will help when converting your original image to black & white.

I would also consider the composition as you have captured a lot of foreground, to show the shadows and the light coming down on the walkway, however in doing so you have cut the top of the lamp post off. So working on the composition of the shot would help.

I hope this helps with this image.
