actually, when i look at this i feel that it is a shame that they're not looking at each other. thanks for the comments though, appreciated.

No, looking at each other would be a cliché, this is subtler, less obvious. I love the composition, particularly the balance between the two pairs of figures and the mirror-like reflection in the middle.
It's good to see you back on the site BTW, I remember your multiple mirror manipulation from a few years ago. Well one doesn't forget a username like that...
