Whitethroat

By ringyneck
A family of Whitethroats kept me entertained yesterday while waiting for Kingy to show up.
My 1st proper shot of one but wished it would have got a bit higher up the tangle of branches.

Please see LARGE + F 11

F 5.6,1/160, iso 400 and 400 mm.

Thanks to everyone who cheered me up by commenting on yesterdays Kingy.Special thanks to Ann for her User Award.

Thanks Susan........apparently it's not enough to have a detailed subject ...you have to have it positioned in the frame right and with a clear b/g...just take a look at all the awarded images.

I know what you mean here, Keith. The bird itself is captured beautifully, and I like the shot very much. Because of the rather fussy b/g it perhaps would not win a photographic competition, and what you say just above is true. Nevertheless it is a pleasing image with the bird captured well in very natural surroundings, and that in itself can be a bonus.
