Community of the Resurection

By RipleyExile
This is the main alter of the church of the Community of the Resurrection in Mirfield. It is situated at the opposite end of the church from yesterday's upload.

3 dark images 1 stop apart HDR'd in CS3. 2 further, lighter images (continuing the 1 step apart sequence) layered over the top with reduced opacity so the very bright highlights on the wall didn't overpower everything. Converted to black and white and a red filter added.

I would like comments and critique especially around weather the technique I have used has worked to produce a natural effect with alround good looking exposure.

Thanks.

best one so far Alex, I think your technique has worked quite well here. I usually take five shots @ 1 stop apart for my HDR and use Photomatix rather than CS3, I think it's worth investing in photomatix as it give better results apparently Smile

Thanks for the comment Tony. I've had a play with the free Photomatix basic version and I was just having a play with CS3. I just downloaded Photonaut this evening and I've been messing with that as well. It's good and it's freeware so expect to see a few HDR uploads using that.
