This lady was playing a lead role in the play "king and I" at the local theater.
Lighting was an absolute nightmare, no flash. Iso ranged from 1000-1600 with 1/20th speeds. Luckily when the spot light came on it wasn't too bad.

Great shot.
People who have not tried theatre photography will not realise just how hard it can be and this is supreme

I loved this on in the thumbnails, looks wicked larger, I think Ross listed this one as one of your best.

That's dam good man, I can imagine the lighting conditions.
Is it legal to take theatre photos, did you have to go back stage or did you just take your cam along?
Nice choice of b+w and noise isn't at all visible.

Shrew- J&A cameras were photographing it, this was the rehursals as we could go anywhere. 4 photographers including myself went and each took about 550 shots, then we printed posters and stuff for the actual nights it was showing. Then we printed contact sheets for the public to look at and order prints/photo books from. Mainly parents buying shots of their kids and stuff. Was good fun.

Gooch- I didn't expect anything less.
