    Lovely photograph.

It reminds me of some I worked on with Jona Frank using a plate camera.

So very different - love the attitude in the facial expression.

I like the colours - they are very mood enhancing.
I like the depth of field used and the incorporation of foreground blur.
Personally I would have liked to have seen both eyes clearly rather than have a one partially obscured by foreground but that's a small point to me Smile
I don't read books so I can't comment on them Smile

Nice piece of work. If you like this style Google the work of Dani Olivier - I think you will be impressed Smile

If you shoot using a textured background for your backdrop you will be able to apply an overall 2 or 3 pixel Gaussian Blur in post processing which will take out the grain and give the foreground and background equal impact. You can then use a levels adjustment to set the black point to further refine it. I am not convinced you are better off with RAW for this type of work - it would work just as easily as a jpeg - perhaps even more so.

    Have fun.

Nice image as ever. Where is the bridge? - it looks like the Tyne Bridge but I am just being curious . . . .

Well the Integrale is indeed a work of beauty but I think you are being a little harsh on the model . . . . . . . Smile
