Processing The Simple Way...

This is a subject that falls into two camps. Those that think that everything should be done in camera and those that think that software like PS can be used for far more than small touch ups.
Those that see my work know I'm one of those people that love using PS to produce something that I could never do in camera. Most of these PS changes are simple and can produce some great results without having to know all the ins and outs of PS.
Over the last few days I have posted a few images using something I found while playing. It's so simple with so few steps I thought I would post the image below show the steps.
The young lady is my granddaughter Bethany.

I would also like to hear from people how they feel about this type of work and if they feel it belongs in photography or should be an art form in it's own right.

Excellent result, Robert. I think it belongs to photography, because the starting point is the photograph that is interesting and well shot by itself. No bad photo would be better with any trick. Excellent starting image so the excellent result as well.

Although it could be considered Art, and maybe should be, Robert, I still opt for it as Photography considering the original source.
Photographers have always used aids, starting with coloured filters and cloths etc over lenses. My own collection of Artistic filters kept me broke for many years, and then all went digital, amd Lightroom etc were born.
I was taught that good editing always starts with a good image, and your recent posts really confirm that premise.
