I'm back!
11 Jun 2014 8:11PM Views : 628 Unique : 532Seven years after selling my last premium camera I have "acquired" a new Canon 700d DSLR.
The first thing I did after my "acquisition" was to check out my old ephotozine profile, happily to see that it was still the way I left it.
Now, let me update you with what has been happening since I was last here;
1. I have moved from the UK to China, Dongguan in Guangdong Province. Despite it's recent headline news it is actually a very beautiful city, sure there are lot's of factories and the air isn't as clean as the Cotswolds but who's one to grumble when there is a lot of history mixed with the new and besides the are more than enough mountains and parks to get some great shots of.
2. I got married. I am now 2.5 years into a marriage to a wonderful Chinese girl who you are going to see a lot as she has (un)willingly become my portrait model. We are planning for a baby, so when it finally comes along I will have two models for my portraiture. We also have a little dog, Lucky.
There are tons of other little things but I won't bore you with those.
Time for a little plug;
I am setting up several companies at the moment, one of which is called "Foreign Friends". At Foreign Friends we help out local business people with English related tasks such as translations, overseas sales/service, attending trade-shows, web-design/proofreading, etc. We also help out business owners outside of China with tasks such as sourcing and quality control. If you need any China related stuff for your business, please contact me through the site.
Now, back to photography.
I hope that the blog will be a means to share my thoughts and life-stories, I have attempted to write blogs before only I kind of give up after the first couple. Please help me out by commenting, at least then I will have a reason to blog!
If anybody is interested I also engage in sped-up videos that I take whilst driving (via a dash-cam) then speed up to condense into 2-3 minutes. I will share these later on.
That's all from me for now, thanks for reading.
