Hi Rob - superb. I've never used my cats as subjects I doubt I have the patience, and this takes the art to a new level. Makes a super desktop - Wink - hope you don't mind...

Thank you all for your comments, votes and awards, blown away with it, very much appreciated.
Just to let you know that Harvey is a British short hair cat and was quite lively as a kitten now he's all grown up he just sleeps most of the time now.
The shot itself was taken from inside a light tent with a black backdrop. I originally set it up for some still life shots but Harvey kept coming in to play.
Anyway, the toy was dangled into the space on a string via a stick. Camera was set on a tripod and Harvey just did his thing jumping around trying to grab the toy. Just wish I had the shutter speed set slightly quicker to remove all the blur.

thanks again,
Rob.

Excellent shot Rob!! As for the blur, I think it actually adds to the shot, as it portrays the speed at which Harvey is moving. His face is in focus, which shows his intent and determination. Brilliant!!

An absolute gem, it really is amazing.
As for the shutter speed, I like the movement it has created, the main focal point being the cat's expression which you caught beautifully here and is spot on.
Your comment above explains why the lighting and background came out so well, the whole thing just came together for you...congratulations to you and your lovely model and thanks for sharing this one with all of us.
