I think this is one of the most difficult artistic expressions to perform, brave man!
My daughter-in-law, Nicky has not long to go and I want to do the same sort of shot as you have.
It's a good capture but I'm not sure if back lighting might work better, perhaps even a sillowhette...or a toning job in PS - because I find the shadows and different skin tones distract a little from the lovely round belly.
Magda Indigo got an EC for just about the best MTB shot I've ever seen; it might be worth having a look for further ideas.

Patricia, thanks for your comments; I actually increased the contrast a little from the original, which perhaps is a mistake. This was my first attempt at a bump shot, and I only got about 10 mins. However, there's still 4 more months for me to improve my technique!!
