Welcome to my Portfolio!

I have been absent from ePZ for a couple of years as life got complicated, but am back and ready to get stuck in again.

  • The Road to Bentham

It was the bullet holes in the sign that made me stop... well, that and the light!

I love that storm light, it made the soaking I had half an hour earlier seem somewhat worthwhile!

  • Shepherd's Hut on the Struggle

I have uploaded the colour original as well as the colour first version from a couple of years ago in modifications... they may be interesting...

  • Castlerigg "Summer"

I had intended to do so - I just missed the tick box!

  • Benthow Wood Panorama

I am not 100% happy with this one as yet. But as a location it has plenty of potential!

  • Coniston from Waterpark

Many thanks for the award John_Wannop Smile

  • Castlerigg Morning

I was somewhat sleep deprived taking this one today...

  • All Wet in Woundale

    Thanks Tanya Smile

It's one of those images that doesn't look much in a thumbnail but works better the larger it displays I think!

  • Downtown traffic

I really like this! I would be tempted to bump the black point a bit to make the blacks *black* rather than dark grey myself, but that is purely subjective (and probably as much a result of being brought up with Ilford HP4 and MultiGrade paper! Damn those purple filters....!)

  • Heathcote Rays

Lovely work capturing the sunrays - I wish that 4x4 hadn't sneaked in behind the trees though!
    • 11 Mar 2015 8:19PM
  • Goldfinch

It's a really nice, vibrant image... but.... it is just me or have you missed the focus slightly? The eye just looks a bit blurred with the point of focus seeming to be on the nearside wing to me, which just slightly detracts from what is otherwise a stellar image.

  • Birker Fell

    Thanks all.

The sky was "helped" with a 3 stop soft ND grad Wink It "felt" cold and dark out and the unfiltered version just didn't cut it!

  • St Catherine's Old Church

I couldn't add the Camera Model - it is an OM-D E-M5 Mk II.

Just breaking it in, absolutely lovely bit of kit, but the Olympus RAW software is horrible. Can't wait for Lightroom to get up to speed!

  • Eastern Promise

Wonderful shot - great colours as the weather front comes in Smile

  • In the mood

Cracking shot! I haven't been that was in a couple of months and almost went today.

    Love the atmosphere.

  • Welcome to Bleaklow

I really like this - I may have been slightly tempted to push it a touch more towards the high key myself.

But that is not to say I don't love it entirely anyway Smile

  • Mist over Tryfan

This I love - wonderful composition and perspective with perfect lighting.
    • 18 Jan 2015 9:13PM
  • Upper Dunnerdale

I have a version with the sky cropped down a bit, which is good - but I think the expanse of blue won out purely as it is a rarity up here Wink

The suffering... I have to agree with that! If time had been on my side I may have explored some other options and seen what came with the twilight! But I shall keep gloves in my kit bag for next time!

  • Gentle Giant - 1

    Cracking shot Smile

  • All at sea

Great conversion - love the movement in the sky.

  • Three Trees

Very stark - but compelling non-the-less. There can be beauty in bleak!
    • 14 Jan 2015 10:23PM
  • The Old Hen House

    Made me smile Smile

  • Discs

I really like this shot - very graphic!

There are strong lines throughout and the mono conversion just adds to the graphic elements and make it a very strong composition. If I was going to nit pick... I would either edit out or recompose to miss the truncated disc in the bottom left corner of the frame as it breaks the pattern.

  • Distant Light.

Lovely shot - I don't get up to the North Lakes often enough, and certainly not that early in the morning Wink
    • 14 Jan 2015 10:18PM
  • Roger's View

That is just superb! Love everything about it, including the cold feeling I am getting from looking!
    • 14 Jan 2015 5:02PM
  • Kestral

I really like this - perfect photo for a day like today!

And I am slightly envious you have a shot of a Kestral as good as that, I see them often enough, but have never managed to photograph one!

  • Mr Graceful

I really like this one, the softness of the final image just works really well and gives it a dreamlike quality.

  • Slow Reveal

    That is really special!

    Stunning Smile
