the clearing ridge

By paulstefan
One more from Thyangboche. Per a previous upload, once the snow clouds lifted we were blessed with this most spectacular view of the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. You can just make out the top of Everest poking through the cloud near the left of centre of the shot.

The ridge is over 4km higher than where this shot was taken from!

Worth looking at the large one if you get the chance.

Thanks for looking and all the great comments on this series.

Cheers, Paul

It's a spectacular and breathtaking image, not so sure about the dark shading at the edges though.
I think it shows up much more in the smaller sizes than the large.
A small niggle in a superb capture!

Simon

P.S. If it's cloud I prepare to stand de-niggled!

What more can you say!! Staggering stuff.

Surely these must form the basis of a book of your experiences. It's truly inspirational photography, and now makes me ponder my own shots and wonder how the hell do I try and approach this level of quality.

It appears as though you caught just a bit of light here. ... to put it lightly! Next time get up on the ridge and use it for a foreground for Everest.... lol.. just kidding!
