Benthow Wood Panorama

Benthow Wood, or what remains of it, is an old ruin up on the side of Owsen Fell between Lamplugh and Loweswater in the north of Cumbria. ..I love this view out over the coastal plains of Cumbria and on towards the Solway windfarm before the Dumfries and Galloway hills provide a backdrop. It does make me pine for Scotland though....

Well-composed, with the trees to the left and the right framing the view. I like the way the warm hues in the foreground contrast with the colder tones in the distance. The old ruin adds interest. Chris

I am not 100% happy with this one as yet. But as a location it has plenty of potential!
