Bracklinn Falls

By robs
Finally - I have managed to get out and actually take a new photograph! Not been out at all since the end of September due to various demands on my time!

This was my first visit to Bracklinn Falls, it's only 8 miles from the house I moved into over summer but just aint had the time. This morning the weather was stunning so I decided I should probably make the time and drove out to the place which sits on the hillside above Callander.

Good to see the Bracklinn falls on epz. Not easy to photograph but you,ve done well here. Great light, lots of good detail in the rocks and the reflection in the pools is superb.

Super light, great image and a nice shutter speed to capture the water movement

It's a nice sharp shot with good blurring in the waterfall, but I think the lighting is too harsh. Did you take the photo in the middle of the day? It's only really noticable in the top left part of the photo, still a very good shot,

Great shot of a beautiful waterfall. Last time I was there the bridge had just been washed away - it can be quite a raging torrent at times.

First thing this morning - the light was stunning but the level of contrast at the falls is really tricky to deal with. Ideally I would have got down lower but the rock was not wanting to play nicely today so I stuck to the rocks along the top of the gorge.

Great spot though - will go back when I have a bit more time! Cheers for the comments, I will have another look at the overly harsh area, it was bugging me whilst I was processing it but I couldn't get a conversion I was entirely happy with... even tried HDR but that just didn't work with this one Sad
