Thanks to all who cc'ds on Doodle Dandy, they are much appreciated. Tonight a change to architectural. This a detail of Penarth pier. Obviously in need of a coat of paint. Perhaps next time they will not choose this wierd turquoise colour. Still, the distressed paint and colour is good for togs!

It pops up a lot in swimming baths and open air pools - I think someone ordered a job lot, and hopefully it will soon run out

Immediately recognisable (if you know the place!). Great shot, showing the basically symmetrical design. Agree about the colours!

Took a similar one a few days ago.

I'm old enough to remember that that building on the pier was once a night club called the Commodore!
