Like the very clear division between the two halves of the frame. A very effective composition.

Occasionally an image comes along that makes you go 'Wow'. This is one! Love the comp, the detail in the rocks and posts and the difference between each half of the frame. Fabulous! Well worthy of my UA.

Nice work Paul the central position just proves for me that rules have to be broken every now and again. Lovely colour and detail.

I do have a couple of others composed more 'conventionally' Dougie, but they major on one side of the divide a little too much for me.

Thanks all, have a great day.

Must have felt like an eternity waiting for the exposure with the Big Stopper on!! Worth the wait though.

Makes an interesting shot if you crop about halfway up so there's no water showing the l/h/s. Quite abstract, if you want to be arty!!

Not completely sold on the composition Paul, it kind of cuts the image in half (I'm not against putting things bang in the middle) - tho top marks for trying something different. Maybe a diagonal composition bottom left to top right ??

Quote:it kind of cuts the image in half

... and that was the point Nick, because of the increased height in on the left the tide didn't wash over it, so the juxtaposition between the softer water and harder shingle was what I was after. Maybe an angled comp is another 'angle' to look at Wink
