Redundancy Survey

26 Aug 2010 11:05AM   Views : 6469 Unique : 263

I was made redundant two months ago. Bad news for most people I suppose, but I ain't complaining. Why?, well I have painted the house front to back, took an extra long summer holiday, and have finally been released from a mundane job that I didn't particularly like, and my bank balance has improved in the short term due to a small golden handshake.
Of course I am now on the job hunting trail using all means possible, of which the internet is the greatest tool. I came across an article here in the Netherlands over the government having carried out a survey to see what the general approval rating would be for the percentage of unemployed in todays economy. They have concluded that a 8% unemployment level is totally acceptable to 92% of the working population !.
One other thing I have noticed about being unemployed, and that is the minute you wake up in the morning you're already on the job !
