Good to see you upload again after a few weeks Roger. Lovely sunny day captured here, with very clear colours. I like the inclusion of the flowers to the right

Those are lovely mountains. Very nice image Roger....Was that last year? I'm thinking this year there must still be snow there. ...Sandy

great composition. Even the `vehicles' don't distract. It looks a wonderful place (adding to my wish list!) Smile

I just love this place - the scenery is something else. You've captured the Three Sisters perfectly.
Did you take the helicopter ride from Canmore? The views up there are - well - awesome is an understatement.

Very impressive shot Roger, but aren't these poles and wires such a nuisance over here, they seem to take delight in sticking them up in the most photogenic spots!

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Seeing the Rockies has been a desire of mine for a long time, and even more after crossing them between Cheyenne, and Salt Lake City 29 years ago. If any of you have been that way, it is just a high plateau, and very uninteresting, and I was very disappointed. In contrast, the mountains I saw in Canada completely fulfilled my expectations.
Daisymaye, I was there in mid September last year, and guess this was the only snow that survived summer.
Shandoor, I have always heard of Banff, and never heard of Canmore, but I was more impressed with the latter. Fewer tourists too, which suited me.
Datman, I didn't take the helicopter ride, but I imagine it would provide even more impressive views.
JimV, yes, those wires seem to be everywhere. I know I've commented about them in some of your photos, and they spoiled a lot of my photos too. I've cloned them out in some of my pictures, and probably should do the same with this one.

This is an excellent image Roger. I love the contrast of so much colour in the foregorund to the blueness of the mountains.
