Sheep Website

By Rogerex
I've posted a couple of different versions similar to this some time ago, but I feel this one is better. It recently won 'Peoples' Choice' at a competition to promote tourism to this area. It was considered by the judges too, but rejected because of an over-exposed area, and some tree branches being a bit orange instead of being properly silhouetted.
Taken late one afternoon in autumn when everything was covered in spider webs which were glistening due to the low angle of the sun, which also gave the sheep their halo-like appearance.

It's all about the backlit sheep for me in this image. Well captured.

The backlit sheep are incredible. Even more so knowing that it's a natural effect from the light. SO cool.

It's a pity the judges picked on the overexposed areas. I mean, the overexposure was created by the same light which made the rest of the image magical. I'm glad you won in the People's Choice, though. I guess people know better than judges sometimes!

Unfortunately it is too late to give this image my award. I consider it well worth! The backlit sheep are amazing, as it the entire image.

Happy New Year Roger, I hope you'll be back with more wonderful images from your part of the world.

Lovely work Roger it gets my vote . The haloed sheep are wonderful . Some judges are so picky ! Glad you received the peoples choice !

Some year's ago I put Wilf in drinking his beer with only the beer coloured in our yearly Competition . The Judge slated it saying he hated that sort of thing. Then one of our directors thought it was good enough to go into another all Ireland Competition with six different judges and they voted it first in all of Ireland . So that gave me a lift
