Great light on this.....(looks even better if you use a black surround).

Violent Sea by rontear

Violent Sea

'Furthest from Rail'.....Hartland Point is is the spot in England that is the most distant from any railway line. I rented a holiday cottage there many years ago, and your photograph brings back happy memories......a great shot!

Many thanks for the GE award on my lion cubs...it came as a real surprise -(and a shock!). (And Vicky is still reluctant to let me have my camera back!)

We Have A Post Vaccant

Very well seen, and the title makes it.

(Might be worth cropping off the top third to lose the light patch of sky?)

Virgin Goth by ugly

Virgin Goth

Great "personality" portrait.....good choice of aperture to throw his companion slightly out of focus and keep attention on the main subject.

Many thanks for the UA.

White Deer

Seeing these, and your Bushey park shots Brian, I've got a feeling you're working up to a safari trip! Tongue

Kingfisher by Brian65

Great shots Brian...a pleasure to look at. The pose, and the angle of the beak, in V1 is spot on.

Little Owl by Maiwand

Little Owl

Superb portrait Ron.....you need to find a market for a limited edition print -(safaris don't come cheap!) - then you can try your hand at vultures and eagles. Tongue

Too hot..

Thank you for those kind words Nathan.....I'm very lucky that I've been able to get to places where these animals live, and it's nice to know that people enjoy the results.

Four days old

Great image.....and nice to have the story to go with it.

(Having recently returned from Africa, it's strange to see the Indian elephants.....almost looks as if their ears have been trimmed!)

Back off!.. by rogerfry

Quote: Great shot, I see Mom only has one tusk....baby is too cute....

One tusk missing, and the other one broken quite short...rather sad.

Rock Hyrax by ugly

Rock Hyrax

Cute little animals....at one of the camps we stayed at a few years ago, they had a "resident" hyrax that used to come and check what was left on the tables after the evening meal.
Nicely portrayed........and many thanks for the UA.
