Piggyback

By Adderwatcher
Good day all, Todays upload is very special to me as it a shot i thought i would never get.

This was taken last week and i have never seen anything like it before, usually the males are so eager they go all over the poor female (her head, body legs !!) and though i have seen three males on one female before i have never seen it so..well neat.

Getting this shot was abit fun too. You see females are more likely to move than the males so i had to be careful in my approuch, the problem was to get to her i had to go through a stream. usually only a shallow brook but when it rains its a good three four foot deep and fast flowing (the things we do to get a shot!) so there i was soaked through from my thighs down taking pictures of this toad! No matter i got the shot. I like this one alot and hope some of you do too.

Sorry i didn't leave many comments yesterday but i was having a very rough time with some problems here. I will try to catch up this morning. I won't be about till monday (i need to clear my head).

Have a good day and a great weekend!!

So unusual. Right place right time. Such a unique capture. One of the middle ones looks almost bored by the whole proceedings. Nice one!! Paul

A super shot and well worth the damp conditions to get it! I would expect them to break into a Hollywood song and dance number now
