Thanks for the comments. At least 4 and possibly 5 of these owls have moved onto a developing industrial estate in North Wales. By parking the car at the edge of one of the vacant plots and waiting, one is usually rewarded by the sight of one of thes magnificent birds flying close by. I was very lucky today because this individual landed on a perch placed there especially by a keen photographer (other than me). That photographer was not there today but I am very grateful to whoever it was! The bird's left eye and most of the left side of his face was slightly darker than the right and I have adjusted this in the software, the background has not been changed.

That's interesting, I was talking to a chap at Parkgate a few weeks back and he was saying there was an industrial estate near him in N.Wales where he would go and just sit in his car and they would fly around. Maybe it was you, or the guy who put the perch there?

This is a cracker Ron. Even more so by the fact that it is natural and not a captive bird. You have uploaded some fabulous work recently. Keep up the good work.

I think they are magnificent looking birds and you've captured it in beautiful light. I was a birdwatcher when I was a kid, and I saw one of these that was passing through the area where I lived. Brings back memories. Smile
