"Let Sleeping Dogs Lie"

By RonnieAG
Brodie came to visit again last week and after his walk and a Bonio he needed 40 winks, but why on my best chair????
He never says "may I?" or the likes, but just assumes it as his right.
But he's such a pet and how could one not go along with this endearing little foible?
V 2 shows the full 'picture', and you can tell he's fast asleep as the pink third eyelid, or nictitating membrane, is closed.
I just hope I am not overdoing my images of Brodie for you, but he is so photogenic and I can't resist another snap every time he visits.

My thanks to all who took time to comment on Last Light, and with special thanks to Bob {bobhowell} for his treasured User Award.

These have to be the best wake-up images I have seen, Ronnie, to turn on the pc, open ePZ, and see that gorgeous goldie is such a pleasure, and a great reminder of when the first thing I used to see every morning was my darling lady, Pepper. Got a big lump in my throat now, just thinking of her. Carol

Your description is wonderful Ronnie! We know who's boss in your house. V2 is my favourite - he looks so comfortable and safe in the knowledge that he isn't going to be kicked off his favourite chair. Smile

Dogs and cats do not need to ask permission, Ronnie, everything that is ours is rightfully theirs, and we mere humans come a poor second.

You couldn't get too much of this lovely dog - she's gorgeous.
And a new word for my vocabulary today - Nictitating membrane .
Ronnie don't know if you've ever disclosed what you did in your working life
but you can certainly use the English language so very well in your comments.

He does look comfy in your chair Ronnie, without being rude perhaps he picks up a little of your scent and feels comfortable in the knowledge that he is safe with you - just a thought

That's a long well kept tail in V2Wink

Makes me feel like taking 40 winks just looking at Brodie there. Both excellent but v2 with the tail for me as it adds to the sense of langour.

He is so beautiful it is no wonder you keep taking shots of him. But he would be quickly hoofed off that chair in my house WinkGrin.
I have one of those fabric ottomans instead of a coffee table, Blaez loves to lie on his back and leans down the side of it - much hoovering of hair off it Sad.
Not at all Ronnie how can we be spoilt seeing Brodie in your chair I believe , both good captures with v2 by a tail.
