"Pink Orchid"

By RonnieAG
Thus one is for Julie ("jujupop's" )Smile : I had mentioned in a comment that we were not very good with house plants and with orchids never managed to keep one from one year to the next. She kindly sent me some tips and if I can carry them out effectively, this orchid might just appear again next year.

Details: see EXIF

Many thanks to all who Cand C'd on "The Garden by Night".......I enjoyed reading the humorous remarks: I had some reservations about posting it, so am very surprised that in general it was well received.

Ronnie.

A beauty, Ronnie, with that gentle curve and the black background, a fine presentation. I am trying to nurture an orchid into flowering again this year, not having too much success, though, most of the buds have dropped off Sad Carol

An absolutely gorgeous shot in all ways Ronnie. Do they take a whole year to flower again? The flowers on mine are both gone now. Moira

Lovely image Ronnie. I also am hopeless with houseplants and last year was given an orchid which flowered for such a long time. I was told what to do with it afterwards and so trimmed it and put it on the windowsill and occasionally watered it but generally forgot about it. Then low & behold I notice one of the stalks had shot through the lace curtain from Brugge and had 5 buds on it!!!! However it didn't go through a large hole so I could pull it back. It shot through a very small hole. We have had to turn the pot and curtain around and I have 5 lovely flowers growing out of a curtain!!! mainly through neglect
