Wonderful shot, thumbnail does'nt do it justice, background blurring really works nicely to concentrate on the seal and its beautiful silky coat.

Nice idea to work in mono for wildlife.
The question is:- does taking the colour away tell us any more about the animal and it's habitat - I suspect not - though the picture is appealling in it's own right.
