Another wonderfully evocative image - possesses a dramatic and poignant quality without lapsing into sentimentality. Really like the contrast between the dark foreground and that beautifully captured sky with the glow around the cockpit and the engines of the Lancaster. I know what davetac means about a 'lump in the throat time'; my dad will have seen this scene played out many times. Many thanks!
