By RosaB
My original photo had not much colour probably because taken at mid-day. I added colour with my Picture project sftware that came with my Nikon Coolpix L1! grateful for any advice or comments!

Excellent composition, and the color looks fine. I do see some haloing around the pyramid especially...maybe from sharpening, or from the color would be interesting to see the original image. I do love the way you have composed this, though. I have never seen this view, and didn't realize their proximity.

Hi Rosa, lovely shot, i have this one too as i stood in exactly the same spot. i was disappointed to discover that they were so close together in real life and that the town centre was just behind your back. keep the pictures coming. i shall be watching in anticipation..... glen x

Thanks again to all for comments.I looked at my original photo,Joline and also the full size edited version and the haloing isn't apparent on them. It only appears on the resized version I uploaded to EPZ! Yes they do look quite close together here but the pyramid is quite away off! Must be a foreshortening effect!

Great positioning in the foreground, the lack of colour is an asset, I think. Carol

Excellent composition, I may have played about with the shadows/highlights a little to give a bit more contrast. But a super photo

Oh ..... how this brings back thoughts of a very happy holiday. I went on an organised tour to Egypt & Israel just after the Guff war ended in 1991. What a time we had. Up at 5.30am, out sight seeing by 7.30am. We stayed 2 nights in Cario then down to Aswan on the overnight train, followed by several days cruise on the Nile, visiting all the temples. Sadly it was in the days before I went digital. I did take loads of film, and they are all in a very special album.
OK, that's enough of my memories. I too was suprised at how close the sites were to the town, but it actually be there! I had to keep pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
