This was at the end of a very long New Year's Eve. We started at Curbar Edge - when we left Manchester the sky was beautifully clear, as per the forecast. We got to Curbar and the fog and mist in the valley nearly reached the top of the cliffs. We moved to Mam Tor, and the fog crept up and up there. We went back to Ladybower, previously clear, and the fog was there, so we went all the way over to Crosby and... the fog was still there - argh! Needless to say, we were not singing 'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside' when we got to Crosby
We wandered along looking at a few of the statues at varying levels of burial until we came across this one that someone had decorated. Well, they had added the wreath and a little corsage round the statue's wrist, the hat was mine... The biggest challenge here was not to sink into the sand as we didn't have any wellies on and it was a little damp at this point, even though the tide was quite a long way out!
C&Cs welcome
