Anguish at the Maldon Mudrace

By RoyBoy
Every year at about this time Maldon stage their annual mudrace. This year it occurred today and over 200 people took part.

The race entails running across the river at low tide to the bank opposite, along the shoreline and back again. It's mud the whole way.

Today was especially cold and this image depicts the agony of one brave lady who, having finished the race, was crying because her hands were so cold. My heart went out to her.
