Mr. Grumpy Gills

I took this shot while off of Koh Phi Phi (where "The Beach" was filmed) in Thailand. I tried to intrude as little as possible on this clownfish (Nemo!) but he still doesn't look very happy. Clownfish are actually hermaphrodites. The largest and most aggressive member of the group is a female and, if she should die, the most dominant male will become female to replace her. I can kind of see why they left that bit out of "Finding Nemo" though. It might have been a little bit awkward to explain in the car on the way home.

Taken with internal flash set to maximum with diffuser fitted.
