Pet Hate

By rrf105
Ok, I'll be the first to admit that this is a bit of an odd idea. I usually hate dripping taps but this time I was trying to get some shots of the drips. I decided to try to use the drip as it's own little lens. I rustled up an A4 sheet with the message on it and put it behind the tap, upside-down. As I said, a bit weird and i'm not too sure of it but it would be good to hear people's thoughts. I reckon I could have the drip focusing on something better but not too sure what. Any ideas?

A brilliant idea, well worked and caught. A pity the tap isn't more photogenic, but the fact you've got the whole word in the one drip is absolutely amazing. Brilliant shot.

Thanks everybody for all your comments. I've had an idea following on from this but it's proving a bit tricky! I'll try to post what I've got later today.

Cheers,

fantastic! Not your usual drop shot this. well done
Dude...

This photo is very 'clean'. Compositionally I love it. Really nice - My first thoughts are that this is 'Photoshoped'. But amazing how ever done. The thought process for me is the genius.

Sweet...

Hi Chris,
Thanks very much for your comment. Nope, no photoshop on it (apart from cropping a bit of spare white space off of the bottom of the pic). I just printed off the word 'Annoying' on A4 paper and stuck it, upside-down, behind the tap (hence the weird background). It was just a case of trying again and again until I got the angles, focus and timing all right!
