This is a nice shot, i've done a basic mod where i have increased contrast,satration and lighting but have reduced the brightness. I hope this shows the colours better. This is just to give you some ideas for futrue shots. Also when in the field play about with different angles and filters to try for unusual shots. Hope this help you anyway.

In the mod I tried to lighten the shadows and separate some of the colours so they didn't look the same kind of green.
