I really like the textures of the twisted trunks,but I think you could perhaps tweak your w/b settings as the earth & some of the trunks look quite lilac from here.Or you could help it along a little in photoshop using the colour balance option....better to get it right in camera though 
I like your subject and composition, but agree about the colour cast. Also, a bit of sharpening, particularly on the left-hand tree, could improve the shot. With the foreground tree that dominant, you would need to use a small aperture/higher f-stop to get everything in focus. Without your camera settings, it's difficult to tell what you used.
Rich and interesting, well shot. It does look a bit pink though.
