Dropping In

By RubberBullets
Was just looking at this flower to see if it was worth taking a photo when this guy turned up. Managed to get about 4 shots before he left again, and was surprised to find that a couple were usable, with this just about the best.

Hope you like it, and thanks for the clicks and comments on yesterdays picture, especially after it got off to such a slow start Smile

The detail and colour on it's head are superb, how come you waited so long to post it?

I just took this today Smile

Had a great morning at Dartington Hall, just outside Totnes. It was a beautiful morning, but a bit windy which put paid to some of my shots. I took loads and have at least 7 that are good enough to put up here. This is just about my favourite, I think.

Ah right, I'd post processed a few from today which took a while, and then agonized quite a lot over which to upload Smile

Thanks for all the comments guys, I'm delighted that you like it.

By the way is the large version working for anyone? I can't get it to work from here.

Hi Tim, nice focus on the eyes of the bee. It's difficult to focus fast moving insect. Well done.

Yes natural light. I have almost always used flash for these shots, but just couldn't be bothered to put it on the camera this day.

Also no tripod, but did have a monopod which helps some.
