Longing For ???

When I shot this image, I didn't really expect the emotional impact it would have when I uploaded it to my computer. I don't know if you will agree but I feel there's a sadness in the photo!
Port Lympne is also home to a large family Western Lowland Gorillas and it's a privilege to get to see these magnificent animals even in captive conditions.

Yes, definitely there is sadness. I wonder if they were ever free to know what they are missing.

I don't know if there ever were Sandy but wouldn't this world be a wonderful place if animals such as these magnificent creatures were not becoming endangered in the wild.
