Another morning

By Sabreur
Skipping to the other end of the meet, I was persuaded that leaving the hostel at 5.30 and heading in the opposite direction to home was a good idea.

We (me, Jeannie, BigCol, Arwensgrace and RichardWheel) had a great morning - and if I'd gone straight home and then seen the pictures I'd have regretted it.

Anyway, this is Lochan na h-Achlaise on Rannoch Moor with the Black Mount (Am Monadh Dubh) catching the light in the background. The water of the lochan was very still - and, I'm told, very cold.

I've added a mod to show the snow that was on the Black Mount on Friday - unfortunately it had gone by Monday morning.

A 3-stop ND filter helped to ensure the smooth reflections over a 1 second exposure.

All comments etc. welcome.

I wish someone had persuaded me as well, because Jacqueline and I arrived at the airport much too early, I definitely had more time to play with yesterday than I thought, initially.

Anyway, this is just lovely, I have no other words for it. And it was great to see you again.

Great shot this. A bunch of us went to the same spot last week and got similarly still water and grey skies! Water is definitely *very* cold Smile
Cheers, Jon
