I'd suggest asking her to put her head back a touch, arch her back a fraction, and then as you take the shot asking her to take the weight off the resting hand. Have to agree about the shoes too... barefoot or something elegant rather than chunky. Just my 2p worth Smile

The modification is def better, but it still seems over-exposed to me, so you lose just a bit too much detail in the shot.

Not sure what to comment to be fair - it is a great moody shot - I haven't seen the colour one, but the B&W looks terrific. Depending on your point of view, you might say the waves/froth in the foreground are just a touch overexposed though. Otherwise a terrific capture in my book...

  • dignity and decency the season for giving by youmightlikethis

Some great subjects, but if it were possible, I'd have looked for a shot of one or the other lady without the sign in it - perhaps even something which focussed in more closely (not sure if your camera can zoom as the model isn't up). Their faces have a wonderful careworn appearance, and I think hat is the shot within the shot in this case...

  • South Indian Fisher Man by Hage

It is a great subject, and the composition is fine, but it is a bit overexposed. I'd also have considered cutting more sky out and zooming in a bit closer on the boat and his relection (although that isn't always possible depending on your location, I appreciate).

Yeah, it is such an odd photo - really makes me think too (and I took the photo!). I have no idea what he was doing, or why he was there but it did make for a pretty interesting shot I thought. Thanks for the comments Smile
