Walk in the Park

By salja03
Shot in our local park while we have all this terrific fog around. had a number of nice shots, so picking one to upload today was quite tough to do. Thought of making it B&W or Sepia, but then I liked the touch of green moss, and I rarely like what I see in Landscape B&W's. Still, open to suggestion..! 1sec @ f36 with a 18-55mm lens on a digital SLR.

You chose the dark, moody shot. Another would have been to open up about 2/3 to 1 stop for a brighter image. It's your choice and either is fine, different moods that's all.

An atmospheric shot. The person in the distance adds interest

Excellent composition James, with the figure disappearing into the fog, I like the natural frame too. Thanks for the comment on my gallery. Have a nice christmas.

Wow, all these nice comments, thanks so much everyone. Denny, i actually took another shot at 1f stop brighter, but of the two, this one really gave the mood I was looking for. I have to say it was a tough decision to decide between them though, as the lighter one gave a fraction more detail in the tree on the left.

I dint think it would have worked without the figure. I might have lightened it up a tage but its also OK as it is.
