a peaceful place

Taken at Rosehall Falls in Scotland.
This graveyard is beautifully positioned beside a river and waterfall, but there is no church in the area. Apparantly in the olden days they didn't have enough money for both church and graveyard, and chose the latter as being more important.

Hope you enjoy it.

yes that makes sense we wont all go to church . i am aninternational graveyard traveler always interesting and peacefull places. nice shot well spotted.

Great shot. Perfect and imaginative use of depth of field. The tree and the background are out of focus but the gravestone and the lower branches, which are in line with the stone, are in sharp focus. This really concentrates the eye on the main object of the picture, the stone, but puts the whole thing in its locational context.
