Holding the reins

By saltireblue
Went to York last week. Took mrs. salty with me - well, I had a lot of camera gear to carry - and met up with fellow ePz'ers, the Woolybills. I think they survived the experience, but are this week convalescing on the south coast, where the waters and air are said to be medicinal...

We were pleasantly interrupted one day by Dave "WhiteRose1" (some geezer from Lancashire, I think, judging by the dialectTongue) who had brought along his major asset, the 5dIII. Despite being from the north, a man of excellent good taste and a wife who wielded her own Canon in anger. The final score was Canon 3, the combined efforts of Nikon and Panasonic, 2.

Anyway, this was taken at the indoor Castle Museum where they have a Victorian street complete with horse-drawn hackney carriage. They need a driver, and these are his hands.
Hope you likey.

Thanks for the recent comments and feedback.

Thanks for bothering.

Malc

An intriguing image that obviously had the colour forcibly removed by the Woolybills!

Seriously, it is an intriguing image that asks a lot of questions and poses a lot of potential answers.

I think you'll find that with a name like 'WhiteRose1' Dave is from here in Yorkshire! Lancashire is the opposition and a red rose! Calling a Yorkshireman a Lancastrian is an insult!! Tut, tut....Wink
Still, this is a nice capture and presentation, Malc - the Castle Museum certainly is well worth the visit Smile

Well, they had to build the Pennines between Yorkshire and Lancashire to keep us apart during the Wars of the Roses!!! Tongue

If those are the hands o fone of your group she would be driving you insane. I can safely say that whilst she is away.

that's a nice little study Malcolm when the part is maybe better than the whole.

Apart from the unfortunate prevalence of Canons a most interesting intro Malc - and great to have the chance to meet up - unlike when i came to Norway and you took off like a frightened rabbit WinkWink
Would never have thought of taking this in a million years which is what makes it so interesting

A nifty bit of processing from a Welshman, Malc! I guessed it was from York but couldn't work it out until I read your intro. The asseT you talk of has a Fuji as well, not a nonaC GrinGrin. Apart from that it's an excellent photo.

But at least all us guys have one thing in common.
It is the women that reign us in !!
Good shot.
