Missing jigsaw pieces

By saltireblue
I got a lot of flak from mrs.salty for this one. Why? Well, because the only way to take this was lying flat on my back on a very dusty, dirty pavement. My fleece jacket (a xmas present from mrs. salty, of course) went from olive green to battleship grey on the back in seconds.
Sacrifices that are necessary if you are going to get the shot, and well worth the cold shoulder treatment afterwards.

Taken at the Statoil building - I mention that in case Dave (WhiteRose1) was wondering.GrinGrin

Many thanks for all recent comments, they are appareciated.

Worth the effort!

I must admit it is a nice surprise to see they have broken the white of the buildings with some colour (at carefully sellected places).

I'm well aware of the cold shoulder treatment as I've suffered it many times in the course of my photography"GrinGrin

I'm sure I've seen this before somewhere! Tongue

Getting down is easy, it's the getting back up that's a killer!

Having studied the image for a while, I am still unable to decide what I am seeing, Malc : didn't sleep a wink last night so will come back when refreshed for another go.
Certainly has an abstract appeal at the moment.

Tsk tsk! It's easy for me as Christopher doesn't see or care about dirt. Worth the wigging for the shot though! Malc! Smile

Last year at Tanfield Railway I leaned on an old buffer (of a railway carriage, NOT another elderly gentleman) to take a shot. It was MrsW who noticed the large patch of grease on my light-coloured jacket afterwards, and she who purchased and applied the wherewithal to remove it . . .BlushBlushBlushBlushBlush
An excellent study of this in-your-face public art. Although quite possibly it goes over a few people's heads Wink

Fantastic image Malc', and well worth the grief from the Mrs. I'm sure it all came out in the wash, but as you know, it will NEVER be forgotten Wink

You are very lucky that the dear lady rendered assistance after your cavalier attitude towards her gift. A lesser man might have been churlish I fear.

A tremendous angle and effect from the horizontal camera position, I find my angle finder a boon in situations like this. Sadly I would still be on my knees.

A great angle and viewpoint Malc, and certainly very eye-catching! Smile Has to be my fave of the day, and worth my UA, which I hope will help compensate for the telling-off from Mrs Salty....Wink

A very unusual place to put a mural - it's extremely colourful and looks splendid against the blue sky though!

Stunning, and provided that you do the laundry, Mrs Salty should have no cause for complaint. If you have problems get her to chat to my husband Garrath who handles me climbing on chairs in restaurants, poking my camera into other people's gardens, florists' displays, and lying on the floor in pursuit of funghi and insect shots with incredible equanimity - and he does all the laundry!
