Musical instruments & Musicians 3 - a bit of brass

By saltireblue
A bit more from the annual village fete (worse than death) Sorry, MoiraBlush

Brass should to be polished before it can be blown. This rule only applies to bands and orchestras. Cool dudes blowing a mean sax in a smoky jazz/blues club are excluded from this rule. Polishing doesn't improve the sound, but at least you look the part with your shiny instrument in your handWink.
It also helps if you pick up your instrument before you inadvertently step on it.

Sometimes blowing can take more effort than polishing...

With depressed greetings from a rainy location just west of Oslo where we are still waiting for summer...and the days start getting shorter after today...Sad

Malc

Fetes worse than death. Been there, suffered that, got the teeshirt.
I like the diagonals in V1, and the way it drifts in and out of focus.
Yep, our guests this evening have pointed out that we are on the count-down to Christmas. It's all downhill from now on.

Wonderful series, love the selective focus in V1 and the reality check in V3 and the fine example of embouchure in V5.

If it is any consolation we are still waiting for summer here.

Some great angles and shiny curves, a really polished performance Blush
V4 is the real star here.
It has just occurred to me that the Yorkshire saying "where there's muck there's brass" can't be a comment on stinginess: surely it translates as "Every mining village has a brass band".
Maybe!

Smashing set, Malc.

You sound really brassed off, Malc! We had to sit through so many of our kids' school concerts, this probably sounds like heaven Tongue

V4's gotta be a front-pager, Malc! Grin
But I find V3 envokes a feeling of hanging around being bored, so that's good too.

Sounds like you're a bit brassed off with your weather, Malc...Sad A fine set of images here, though, and like the look of concentration on the girl's face in V4! Wink

V4 is the pick of this set Malc, the youngster whose face has gone red with blowing so hard!
