One two tree

By saltireblue
I recently met one man and his dog while out for my daily walk. Turns out he lives just five minutes down the road and is a fellow keen photographer. I have heard of him, and it was very good to meet him. Unfortunately this happened a few days before restrictions on unnecessary movements started, but we managed one walk before we had to temporarily stop.
On this walk, he and his dog Nellie showed me an area I didn't know was accessible to the public (thought it was private farmland) and there were some interesting landscapey thingy bits and bobs.
Now, as y'all know I don't often do landscapey stuff, but here is a first offering from that jaunt. A couple of trees on top of a rise which I thought would look not too dusty, so here it is.

Hope you and your equipment are all managing to stay clear of the nasties.
Whatever happens, stay optimistic.

Many thanks for all the interest in my previous effort - ta muchly.

Thanks for bothering!
Malc

That one on the left has seen you coming and is trying to scarper . . . . Alternatively, the tree on the right is a real poser . . . .
Setting whimsy aside, they make great silhouettes and the scene is really nicely proportioned. And as Ollie says!

The one on the left is creeping up behind the other, a quick push and he's over the edge.... now where did I put my pills!

Moody and very nice, Malc.

Usually it's either an interesting tree against a bland sky, or an interesting sky with a tree shoved in to do service as a focal point.
But you, clever fellow that you are, have managed to get an interesting tree and an interesting sky.
OK it was probably an accident, but why split hairs...

That tree looks about to slide down the bank, Malc'. Smile
Great that you've found new pastures, as it were, and a new friend.
I look forward to more from this location in due course.

All the best to you and yours, and don't worry; optimism is my middle name.
(Not sure why they spelt it with an M?)

Very bleak landscape (or treescape?) but has a certain charm with the very bare trees, as if waiting to get wakened after their winter rest.

More landscapey stuff, please! It works well with your individual approach and the b&w emphasises those thought provoking shapes and strong sky.

A very pleasing bit of 'landscapey stuff' here, Malc! Should do more... 👍

Always good to have a go at something different Malc, keeps the brain active Wink
Clarity is good, well exposed and those trees have great shapes, Momma Nature is so very clever.

That's the trouble with a thatched roof Malc, trees will take advantage. SmileSmile
A chance would have it, I used our daily walk to take pictures of some of
the trees around the village. I was thinking of a little series. Mine may be in colour though.
A rather splendid effort today young sir.

I am one piece short of completing the Ker Plunk area........no kidding GrinGrinGrin
