Suit you, Sir! (With apologies to the Fast Show)

By saltireblue
The first snow fell today. Not a lot, but enough to turn the landscape white for a few hours before the temperature rose to a near respectable level (+3c) and it all began to melt.

Well, after my last upload I thought I might have need for certain formss of protection.
I had this ready for use, but fortunately the female ePz'ers treated 'that' upload, and my description, far more kindly than I had anticipated.
Having said that, Moira (mrswoolybill) and Chris (Slowsong) had ideas of hanging well and being eaten with a nice chianti, a la Hanniball LecterSad

I thought of doing this one in b&w, but felt the original colour in the very subdued museum lighting, does it more justice.

(Cue comments on 'riveting')

Glad you left it in colour Malc - you do like to live dangerously; perhaps that's why you're safely overseas....

I suspect that had you faced some of the lady epzers in person the suit of armour might have come in handy.
However, without a horse your battle would have been lost; wearing a suit of plate armour you can't run and you can't hide eitherBlush
A fine image of a lobster suit, Malc, and I agree about retaining the colour too. No common armour would do for you, after all!

Yes, I was thinking you might have to take cover and what better than concealing yourself within this tin suit.
Love the subdued lighting here and the close crop to include just part of the suit.
Ronnie.

I didn't have the metal to contemplate responding to your previous upload last knight, I might have come across as overly protective of anybody femail ...maybe I have a vested interest. The balance of response was good, but the women shone through, a lot being in their middle ages, recovering their superiority with great strength and warrior attitudes. We have no need of weapons, we don't need to be shielded, we can do damage with just a word or a backward look.
I'll get my coat!

Some very riveting comments here Malc! Impossible to come up with anything that hasn't already been said! Grin A super capture, lovely tones, textures and light here, tried to imagine this in mono, but think you're right to leave it in colour Wink
As regards my last upload, the Cod & Lobster is a pub, and I always have lunch in there when in Staithes! Wink
Marvellous us of the light on a metal workers hard work. I wonder if it saw any action?

If it were double walled you could put hot water in it and it would be of some use in the winter Wink
