The front end

By saltireblue
Some of you may remember, (though probably not), the rear end of a bicycle that had been parked in an unusual way . (If 4metres up a wall is indeed unusual?) Some wondered where the front end was, indeed some even had suggestions as to the solution, but I am at long last pleased to be able to announce that the front end has been discovered, mysteriously parked in Paris. How it arrived here whilst the rear end is still parked iin Oslo remains a mystery...

May your Sunday be very Silly.

Malc

Just back from celebrating(?) the big 60 in Paris so loads of sorting and editing to get on with. Results will be posted as soon as I have time.

It must have taken a while for the bike to find its way through the space/time continuum, not to mention the Continental Shelf and the Métro, because I'm sure it hadn't reached the Rue des Francs Bourgeois last October. And I'd have recognised the poster anywhere Grin

Glad to have you back on site safe and sound, Malc. And if this cracker is anything to go by the photographic results will be worth the wait!

Regards
Bill

Wonderfully surreal and gritty at the same time. I've never been to that area without finding something quirky.
Belatedly, Happy Birthday by the way. I reckon that sixty is the point where you can accept officially that you are never going to grow up, and slip easily from first to second childhood without the inconvenience and irritation of adulthood as a distraction.

Like this sort of "odd ball" shot, Malc.
Nicely toned too, so suitable with the subject matter.
Ronnie.
A real grabber of an image Malc, the mystery solved. There's half of a mini in a wall in Glasgow, my eye is distracted though in your image by something in the left hand corner, strange.

Dougie

hope your trip was a s good as mine Malcolm.

Congratulations on the big 60 Malc! Love this quirky offering from you - I think cats_123's explanation is the best.

Superb! Shame we missed this whilst driving in the Paris Peripherique yesterday (those Paris drivers are lunatics)Sad We did indeed have a Silly Sunday, completing the 1,400 mile drive enforced by the ferry company's strike.

Sorry I couldn't support your stuff during the last three weeks but our wifi access was intermittent and too weak to allow image downloads.
