Tribute to/In the style of/Inspired by...

By saltireblue
I thought I would detract from my normal ePz routine of uploading an image every Monday, and attempt to lighten the mood a little with an attempt at Silly Sunday upload, and perhaps even cause some debate and protestation among a few selected fellow members of this renowned institute called ePz.

I have found a few images which are inspired by, or, I feel are in the style of, or even could have been taken by, other ePz members.
Now, they are few, but quality prevails over quantity.

The first two images are in the style of Alan, whatriveristhis. If you look through his pf, sheep will be observed on several occasions. The second Alan image is perhaps more to do with his love og focusing light and grain in images.

Second up is Bill, aka woolybill1. Now our Bill likes a flipped image, especially if there is a reflection and a ripple included. The second Billy image features another of his photographic loves, the architectural detail, especially when from a castle, fortress, church, or similar. This is a detail from a place we visited in May, but cannot remember which great house or fortress it was...

Following close behind our Bill is larger than life John, lifesnapper. John enjoys nothing better than a pretty girl with a big smile on her face - he finds them irresistible - and I can only guess that they find him equally so, judging by how many are prepared to pose happily smiling for him. The second 'John' image is in honour of his recently-found love of b&w...

Last, but by no means least, is the female half of the woolybill duo, Moira.
She loves nothing more than a mannequin or detail from a shop window display, so the first Moira image is taken from a store display. The second of "her" images features another example of shop displays together with her love of the juxtaposition between people, albeit, in this instance, they are no longer sharing the air we breathe...

There we are...I hope this has amused a little, and that the featured ePz'ers will not rush off to stop following me. As that talented comedian, Kenny Everett's character Cupid Stunt said, "Its all done in the best possible taste!"Smile

I now look forward to the responses - especially from the chosen victims.

Thanks for taking this unceremonious parade with a pinch of salt.Tongue

Golly, what a varied set and your narrative up top explains all.
I particularly like your lead shot and the version with the reflections.
You have been busy creating this set and I appreciate what you have achieved.

Well that has to be a UA, n'est-ce pas? You see, flattery will get you anywhere...
I would be picky and say that I don't push contrast to quite such extremes. But that would be churlish.
The lead is a cracker, I may return later to say more.

You clever fellow! Very perceptive, and each one a quality image in its own right, irrespective of the source "influence."

As to the first 2 images... I'm flattered, and shall glory in the attention.Grin

Great work. Not easy to take photographs in the style of someone else. It takes a lot of effort.

To admire is one thing, to be able to follow is another altogether, and to be able to forensically reproduce the style of several others is a skill unto itself. Several of these would be a magnet to my award, so these as a set are irresistible. Very clever, Malc.

An ingenious idea highlighting your choice of photographers of EPz and illustrating their genre with your interpretation. Most of them hit the mark and you could almost guess who took them with a bit of thought.

Brilliant Malc, a great idea wonderfully executed. Have one of those gong thingamabobs ...
A series of slightly satirical and possibly irreverent, follow up's could be brewing - somewhere
in the vast cavernous spaces of the interweb... Folk around these parts have a whole bunch of
time to dispose of. It could be fun SmileSmileSmile I would never do such a thing though Blush.honest.
Happy as possible Sunday.

And done very well.

Though I can think of two other possibilities.
Your powers as a mod enable you to acquire these images.
You are all these members yourself, though as I've met yourself, Moira and Bill all at the same time that's harder to explain unless you have access to multiple universes.

It is Sunday Smile

Immediately thought your lead was Alan's which almost always deserves an award - so watch out Alan - you've got a rival!

Dear Saltyskyblue - it's getting late and the brain cell is running out of charge. This all looks very impressive and will demand my full concentration. I shall therefore return to this on the morrow.
For the time being therefore I shall confine myself to saying that this looks like a very nice picture of some sheep and some other things.
Bahhhhh humbug, Ebenezer Tightwad.

A message from Mrs Trellis of North Wales.

Dear Mr Salty Blue Mac

Your name intrigues me. Did you used to work in Soho? Sorry, did you used to work in the Soho Fish and Chip Emporium on the Isle of Anglesey? I remember swooning over your large piece of cod. Happy days. And another thing, V7 reminds me of The Avengers and those old fashioned advertisements that used to say, "Get ahead. Get a hat." Idiots. This is just the sort of thing that used to appeal to Mrs Willybobble until she became obsessed with bottoms.
Yours, Mrs Trellis of North Wales.
