What's your handle?

By saltireblue
The brake wheel on a 1950s tram from Oslo, (which is in Norway, for those of you who were not paying attention during geography lessons at schoolTongue)

My eye was caught by the spokes of the wheel being partially reflected by the cross-bracing of the somewhat open and low gate at the side of the driver's area. The call of "Man Overboard!" could well have been a common sound on the streets of old Oslo town if the driver allowed himself to be distracted by the sight of a female ankle instead of concentrating on the bend the tram was about to negotiate.Grin

Two uploads in two days...I am excelling myself. Must watch that...could become a habit.

Anyhow, many thanks for all the recent comments, all are appreciated.

Thanks for bothering.

Malc

This is a really effective mono and your tale of inattentive tram drivers distracted by a shapely ankle had me highly amused as I always think of Norwegians as soooooooooo serious!

'Man Overboard!' is rather less distressing than 'Tram Vanished!', which I seem to remember you mentioning some while ago.
I do so enjoy visual observations such as this; you manage to verbalise them rather neatly.
Guess you'll enjoy the NRM in York (see my next three uploads . . . )
